So annoyed was I by the pap offered by such magazines as Girls Life and American Girl, which while it offers worthwhile articles written for 8 year olds to 14 year olds on friendship, also offers craft work like making clothes and how to style your hair, and not a single article on toy trains, sports, or career suggestions like getting into science, that I have created the Girl Scientist Magazine. Right now it's a blogzine, but I hope, eventually, to make it a real, paper magazine.
