August 1: Issue almost done

The August issue of The Thunder Child is almost complete. I'm waiting for 3 articles from one of my writers which he promises to have to me tonight.

I've been lagging behind with this blog, but making a new-month's resolution, I'll be posting here every day from now on. So bookmark it and come back!

This issue will have an interview with Conor Timnis, an actor who put together a documentary on Boris Karloff in order to showcase his talents, in the hope of getting the role in a biopic of the famous horror/science fiction actor.

An interview with Forry Ackerman should be available in the September issue, with more fun and informative interviews to come.

7/20 - Cold Blood

Episode 3 of Cold Blood is available (and the previous episodes are still available to listen to.)

Of course the plot is pretty predictable. Yes, the rescued Burrows does turn out to be the villian of the piece.

Added episode 2 (Tuesday) to Cold Blood.

Don't forget to listen to Shada every Sunday!

7/7 Friday Books Books Books

Spent the day requesting review copies of various books, including Steven Barnes Zulu Heart and the new James Bama: American Realist. My reviewers are going to be in 7th heaven.

The July issue is unavoidably a little sparse - the main article is an interview with Jean-Noel Bassior. The August issue will be quite chock full with various interviews, etc.

Joe Moe (Forry Ackerman's assistant) and Forry Ackerman have agreed to do interviews, as had Steven Barnes.

Jean-Noel Bassior will be sharing exclusive photos of Space Patrol in the August issue, also.

7/5 Back after a month

I haven't had time for all of June to write here - I left for Germany on June 3 and it took a while to recover from jetlag...then I went travelling with relativies here...

But now I'm back and will keep this up to date.

I'm feeling kind of annoyed right now, though. I delayed 5 days in announcing the July issue of The Thunder Child to allow everyone to recover from their New Years weekend...and now that I've just announced the issue at various places...I'm having problems with my provider. Sometimes the URL comes up...sometimes it doesn't...and I can't access the files at all which is extremely annoying.

Hopefully it will be fixed by tomorrow or I'll have to do some emailing. Not to mention how many potential readers I'm losing because they try to reach the site and can't!
