Space Weather! Galileo's birthday today
Finally got an email from Spaceweather, so looks like that subscription went through.
Only two pieces of news today, only one of which I'll share:
Today is the 442nd birthday of Galileo Galilei, a figure of importance in the history of space weather. Contrary to popular belief, Galileo didn't discover sunspots, but he was one of the first to observe them using a telescope and he discovered many of their basic properties. Visit http://spaceweather.com to learn more about Galileo's pioneering work and to see actual drawings of sunspots he made more than four centuries ago.

Still not getting any newsfeeds from the newsfeeds I signed up for. Annoying. I'll have to do something about that later on today.
Anyway, Tuesday on BBC 7, only one sci fi show, and one, Old Harry, I assume is a fantasy. With religious connotations of course.

Old Harry's Game
While Satan sets out to prove that the English are the worst nation on Earth, Scumspawn tries to deal with a lager lout. Episode 2 of 6.

The Shadow
Fine Art of Murder - Original Air Date - 12/22/46

Chimera
A massacre takes place at an isolated laboratory and within hours government officials hush up the investigation, but why?
Dalek, I Love You
A young Dr Who obsessive gets more than he bargains for when he meets his very own Dr Who Girl. But is she real or imagined?
(I believe this is part of an anthology program called The Seventh Dimension)
Jefferson 37
In the thriller's conclusion, Dr Abbots finds his "party trick" used against him, and Paul Smith takes advantage of the chaos. Episode 4 of 4.
"Clones with a difference."

11 Feb. BBC 7 Listen Again for Friday
The BBC 7 station usually has children's programming in the morning, which I won't bother to list here unless it's a program that is all science fiction or fantasy, rather than just bits and pieces of it.
So today Monday's episodes have dropped off and Friday's have been added. Only one program that I *think* is fantasy, with a horror tinge... (I list 'em, I only listen to the sci-fi ones.)

Introduction
Daily Space will consist of daily information on what's happening in the worlds of space fact and fiction.
There are dozens of websites and mailing lists that provide daily information on space weather, scientific expeditions, etc. The Thunder Child has subscribed to a few of them, and will present that information for the edification of our readers here.
At the end of each day's entries, we will list the sources from whence they came. No intent to infringe on copyright is made, we are simply putting all the information in one place.
